A subject that's dear to my heart that makes coaching so much fun is creativity.

We're born to be creative, and when we can connect with what we knew and experienced as children, we can address problems & challenges from a different perspective.

We're constantly creating, whether we know it or not. We're creating habits of worrying about problems, or we're accessing creativity to solve them.

When we're worried about the problem, it has all the power, and when you continue to identify with it, you stay stuck in your least insightful, innovative state. This state often leads to stress, procrastination and distraction.

Your choice in life is to be creative or reactive. Suppose we continue to be a reactor to situations, other people or give in to fear. It's going to be a limited experience of life and our innate resourcefulness.

Generally, adults limit their creative expression to only a few areas of life, and then we react to the rest of life, just trying to get through.

The deeper our appreciation of our creativity, the more we take on challenges in playful ways and find solutions.

Observe children, or remember when you were a child.
My little niece, you give her lego or Sylvanian's, and she creates adventurous worlds and innovative solutions.

When I was a child, I loved playing on the scooter. It always gave me a sense of freedom and creativity to turn a boring road into the heroes journey. Whenever I find myself identified with the worried mind, I jump on the old scooter, connect with the inner child and tap into creativity.

Creativity allows you to create the life that you want. Ask yourself - given the situation, what would I like to create? Play around with ideas, brainstorm and explore all the different possibilities.

Have fun
